PROMOTING HOME CARE FOR ACNE VULGARIS

Acne vulgaris is a common follicular disorder affecting susceptible hair follicle,most commonly on the face,neck,and upper trunk.It is characterized by primary acne lesion, both closed and open,and papules.Acnes is the most commonly encountered skin condition in adolescents and young adult.Acne appears to stem from an interplay of genetic,hormonal,and bacterial factors.patients are instructed to ash the face and other affected areas with mild soap and water twice daily to remove surface oils glands and prevent obstruction of the oil glands.mild abrasive soaps and drying agents are prescribed to eliminate the oily feeling .All forms of friition and trauma are avoided, including propping the hands against the face.Patients are instructed to avoid manipulation of pimples.Squeezing merely worsen the problem,because a portion of the pimples is pushed down into the skin,which may cause the follicle to rupture.Cosmetics and shavig cream should be avoided
