What Causes premature ejaculation in most men?

In dealing with premature ejaculation, it is important to know the factors that may contribute to men reaching orgasm in an untimely manner. Because the primary cause is not known, there have been many theories linked to this sexual dysfunction in men. Anxiety for example is associated to premature ejaculation when a man is anxious about how he will perform the act. Experiences in masturbation and sex that are done quickly are also said to cause men's sexual response to be quick as well.

Solutions and techniques in dealing with the problem

Relaxation techniques are usually helpful in dealing with premature ejaculation especially in men who are constantly affected by thoughts and worries about how they would perform.

Some men also make use of mind strategies in dealing with this dysfunction, such as getting your mind off from the sexual act and thinking about something else that does not cause more arousal. Although this works for some men, others may need more practice to train their minds on this technique.

Probably the most practical thing that you can do to overcome this situation is to know your body. Once you learn how to listen to your body, you will know how to control it like controlling to pee. The stop and start method that is probably the practical way to deal with it requires listening to your body. If you think you are nearing orgasm, you can stop and give yourself time to relax. You can repeat the technique if you still want to prolong the sexual act.

Some men also apply the squeeze technique in delaying ejaculation. This involves squeezing the part just below the head of the penis and stopping all stimulation for about 20 seconds. You can then repeat the method for as often as you need to until you want to ejaculate.
